The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERA) has announced changes to the User Development Fee (UDF) for international travelers departing from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, slated to take effect from May 16, 2025, to March 31, 2029.
Economy class passengers on international flights will have a UDF of Rs 615, while business class passengers will pay Rs 695. Meanwhile, domestic passengers will see a steady UDF of Rs 175. These adjustments are in line with maintaining a fair distribution of aeronautical charges across all stakeholders and promoting infrastructure growth at the airport.
In addition to UDF changes, landing and parking fees have been adjusted to remain competitive, preventing unnecessary financial burden on airlines. AERA emphasizes its commitment to ensuring a balanced regulatory environment, nurturing economic growth, and enhancing the passenger experience at India's primary airports.
