The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has implemented intensified security protocols in Eastern Railway amidst heightened tensions between India and Pakistan. According to officials, RPF, alongside Government Railway Police (GRP) and local law enforcement, has heightened vigilance across key railway stations and tracks within the zone.
Collaborative anti-sabotage inspections by the RPF, Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF), and GRP are being conducted at crucial hubs. Additional measures include passenger information campaigns aimed at raising awareness about potential security risks.
Personnel deployment extends to stations and level crossing gates, complemented by regular patrolling. Enhanced security screenings using advanced scanners are in place, along with strategic route marches in sensitive areas to mitigate any threats.
