The Srinagar International Airport is gearing up to resume normal operations, following an announcement from the Airports Authority of India about the reopening of 32 facilities that were temporarily shut down last week. The closures were due to the escalating military tensions between India and Pakistan.

The AAI and other aviation authorities had issued Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) to inform the suspension of operations across several airports in northern and western India. This decision affected numerous flights, including those intended for the Hajj pilgrimage from Srinagar.

On Monday, an official confirmed that the aerodrome closure NOTAM has now been revoked, indicating that Srinagar Airport is ready for flight operations. However, the commencement awaits confirmation from airlines regarding the schedule of flights.
