The flight originally departed Hong Kong at 12.16 pm local time, despite experiencing a 3.5-hour delay from its scheduled takeoff time at 8.50 am. Upon the emergency return, the aircraft was subject to thorough inspections as the airline ensured comprehensive safety protocols were followed.
Air India announced that alternative travel arrangements are being expedited to transport passengers to Delhi in a timely manner.
