Tragic E-Rickshaw Fire in Muzaffarpur: One Dead, Five Injured
In Bihar's Muzaffarpur district, a woman's death and the injury of five family members occurred when an e-rickshaw caught fire, seemingly due to a battery malfunction. The vehicle, engulfed in flames, was carrying the family back from a wedding, resulting in severe injuries to the passengers.

A tragic incident unfolded in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district where a woman lost her life and five family members suffered injuries after the e-rickshaw they were in caught fire, suspected to be caused by a battery malfunction, authorities disclosed on Thursday.
The victim has been named as Kamrun Khatoon. Other injured members include Mohammad Sajid Hussain, who was operating the e-rickshaw, his wife Yasmin, grandmother Zainab, son Sarfaraz, aged 9, and daughter Sabina, aged 7. Kamrun Khatoon was the mother of Sajid Hussain, police confirmed.
According to ASP Sahariya Akhtar, the catastrophic event occurred near Gaighat locality on the Darbhanga highway. The family was returning from a wedding. The fire, caused by a battery malfunction, engulfed the vehicle, completely destroying it. Emergency services responded swiftly, but the condition of the injured remains critical.
