Air India confirmed that flight AI388 from Delhi to Ho Chi Minh City, carrying 130 passengers, returned to the departure airport on June 19. The precautionary action was taken after a technical issue was detected shortly after take-off.
The aircraft, an Airbus A320 neo, took off at 1.45 pm—45 minutes late—and was forced to turn back due to the technical snag. All passengers were safely disembarked back in Delhi.
A replacement aircraft with a new crew is set to transport the passengers to Ho Chi Minh City soon. No specific departure time has been provided yet.
