Global Travel Disruptions Surge Amid US-Iran Conflict
The escalation of conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran has caused significant travel disruptions globally. Following military strikes, airspace closures and flight cancellations are prevalent, particularly affecting routes through the Middle East. Airlines have halted operations to ensure passenger safety amid rising tensions.

Travel disruptions have surged globally as the US, Israel, and Iran engage in escalating military conflict. US President Donald Trump's bombings of Iranian sites over the weekend prompted retaliatory missile strikes on US forces in Qatar, which had already closed its airspace amid growing tensions.
These developments have forced airlines to cancel or reroute flights, particularly in the Middle East. Singapore Airlines and British Airways have suspended operations in Dubai and Doha, respectively. Air India has entirely ceased regional flights and rerouted intercontinental routes due to closed airspace in Qatar and the UAE.
Flight cancellations reached a worldwide total of 705 on Monday. Experts stress the importance of monitoring government safety notices amid uncertainty about the conflict's duration. They emphasize that airspace closures are crucial for passenger safety to prevent tragedies like the 2014 downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 over Ukraine.
