Jindal Steel Expands Product Line with New Galvanizing Facility in Odisha

Jindal Steel has taken a significant step forward by commissioning its first galvanizing line at the Angul plant in Odisha. This move is set to bolster the company's presence in various industries like appliances, automotive, infrastructure, and construction by offering high-quality coated products.

The new line, known as Coated Galvanizing Line 1 (CGL 1), is part of a considerable investment plan at Jindal Steel's facility. The line will produce products under the Jindal Panther Galvanised and ZINKALUME brands, offering superior corrosion resistance and thermal durability.

The state-of-the-art facility will significantly expand the range of thicknesses and widths that can be processed, ensuring consistency and precision. It marks another stride in Jindal Steel's roadmap to increase the Angul plant's capacity to 12 MTPA, with an eventual goal to double this figure, positioning it as the world's largest single-location steel plant.
