In a major step for agricultural advancement, the Chhattisgarh government has opted to widen the scope of its input assistance scheme to benefit farmers cultivating lentils, oilseeds, and maize, in addition to those growing paddy. This development was announced following a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
Deputy CM Arun Sao highlighted the cabinet's decision to expand the Krishak Unnati Yojana, emphasizing that farmers growing crops other than paddy during the Kharif season of 2025 will now also qualify for the support scheme. The state's procurement efforts continue at Rs 3100 per quintal, boosting farmers' revenues.
Furthering economic growth, the cabinet approved the Chhattisgarh State Logistics Policy-2025, designed to transform the state into a thriving logistics hub. The policy aims to attract national and multinational companies by leveraging the state's strategic location. The approval of the Jan Vishwas Bill seeks to ease business operations by reducing bureaucratic hurdles and legal costs.
