Power Outage Snarls High-Speed Rail Traffic in Spain
High-speed train services between Madrid and Andalusia resumed after a power cable failure halted traffic, leaving passengers stranded. ADIF reported around 20 trains were blocked and 10 more were canceled due to the malfunction, affecting those attending a UN conference in Seville. The issue highlights the vulnerability of Spain's expanding rail network.

High-speed train operations have resumed between Madrid and Andalusia following the overnight chaos caused by a power cable failure, according to railway operator ADIF.
On Monday evening, the failure left around 20 trains stranded and forced the cancellation of 10 others, impacting passengers and attendees of a United Nations conference in Seville.
Traffic was brought to a halt when an overhead cable malfunctioned near Yeles and La Sagra. Though service has resumed, the incident exposes vulnerabilities in Spain's fast-growing rail network.
