Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, is set to inaugurate a significant infrastructural development in Ranchi on July 3—a four-lane flyover aimed at easing the city's notorious traffic congestion. Another central minister confirmed the event details on Tuesday.
This 4.18-km elevated corridor, costing Rs 558 crore, begins at Naga Baba Khatal near Raj Bhavan and ends near OTC Ground. The project's construction commenced in November 2022, according to an official statement. The flyover, known as the Ratu Road flyover, is eagerly anticipated by the local populace.
In addition to the flyover, Gadkari will also inaugurate the Garhwa-Rehla four-lane bypass on the same day, claimed Palamu MP Vishnu Dayal Ram. This new infrastructure promises to significantly impact traffic management and improve travel times in the region.
