The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is advancing its commitment to sustainable transportation by launching fast electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at Guldhar and Duhai Namo Bharat stations.
This development brings the total to three stations operational along the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, following the existing facility at Sahibabad station. The stations, equipped with 50 kW units, enable rapid charging for four-wheelers up to 80% in just 30 minutes, supporting various e-vehicle types.
NCRTC's statement emphasized the user-friendly 'ElectreeFi' app, available on both Android and iOS, which facilitates registration, scheduling, real-time monitoring, and digital payment. Additionally, the corporation aims to fulfill 70% of its energy requirements with solar power, positioning the stations as a crucial step in broader eco-friendly urban transport solutions.
