Ferry Disaster Near Bali: Search Continues for Missing Passengers

Rescue efforts are underway as authorities search for more than 40 people missing after a ferry sunk near Indonesia's popular resort destination, Bali.
The KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya, which departed from East Java's Ketapang port, sank within 30 minutes of its journey late Wednesday. The ferry was traveling to Bali's Gilimanuk port.
While 20 individuals have been successfully rescued, the search operation, contending with 2-meter high waves, continues for the remaining passengers amidst Indonesia's troubling ferry safety record.
