A probationary DSP faced a harrowing experience on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway when a rain-triggered landslide hit his private car on Monday, officials reported.
The landslide occurred near the Ban toll plaza in the Nagrota area, leading to significant damage to the officer's vehicle. Despite the severity of the incident, the officer was rescued promptly and is now in stable condition at a local hospital.
Efforts are underway to clear the landslide debris obstructing the highway and normalize traffic flow, officials said.
