Nokia Revises 2025 Profit Forecast Amid Currency and Tariff Pressures

Nokia has reduced its profit forecast for 2025 by up to 310 million euros. The company cites a weaker U.S. dollar and increased tariffs as primary challenges affecting financial expectations, according to a statement released on Tuesday.

The Finnish network equipment manufacturer now projects a 2025 operating profit between 1.6 billion and 2.1 billion euros, revising its previous estimate of 1.9-2.4 billion. Nokia's decision comes amid concerns over currency fluctuations, including a diminishing dollar, expected to impact up to 230 million euros of the revised figures.

Additionally, tariffs could affect profits by 50-80 million euros. Despite these challenges, Nokia reports steady sales growth in North America, although it still faces competition from Nordic rival Ericsson. Recent results revealed a 32% drop in second-quarter profits compared to last year, reflecting ongoing difficulties.
