Game-Changer for Jobs: PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana to Launch in 2025

The Indian government is set to roll out the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana on August 1, 2025, with the goal of creating over 3.5 crore jobs in two years. An initiative led by the Labour Ministry, the scheme has been backed by a Rs 99,446 crore budget.

Approved by the Union Cabinet, this employment scheme aims at sustainable job creation with a focus on incentivizing employers to offer new employment opportunities. Of the total 3.5 crore jobs, nearly 1.92 crore will be for first-time employees entering the workforce.

The scheme is part of a broader strategy to boost India's economic growth through employment-led development, with special incentives targeted at the manufacturing sector. Incentives will be offered to both employees and employers, aiming to foster economic inclusion and sustainable job opportunities.
