Poddar Plumbing System is set to expand its investment in Karnataka, raising it from Rs 492 crore to Rs 758 crore. State Minister M B Patil announced the revised plans on Tuesday, which aim to boost economic development and employment in the region.

The company has been allocated 33 acres in Vemagal Industrial Area, with operations expected to commence by August 2026. This expansion is projected to create 3,000 direct and 9,000 indirect jobs, according to Minister Patil.

Poddar plans to invest heavily in land, machinery, and GST on capital expenditure. The Vemagal plant, focusing on diverse PVC pipes, aims for an annual turnover of Rs 1,500 crore within a decade, while generating around Rs 3,000 crore in tax revenues.
