Reliance Industries, under the leadership of billionaire Mukesh Ambani, holds its ground as the highest-ranked Indian entity on the 2025 Fortune Global 500 list, standing at No.88. This marks a minor drop from its previous 86th position in 2024. Yet, the conglomerate has climbed a remarkable 67 spots since 2021, highlighting robust growth.
While Reliance celebrates its extended tenure on the list, marking the 22nd consecutive year, the global rankings witness US retail behemoth Walmart at the top, followed by Amazon. The top 10 roster also features three influential Chinese corporations: State Grid, China National Petrol, and Sinopec Group.
Despite a depreciating Indian rupee, Reliance's FY25 closed with unprecedented consolidated gross revenues of Rs 1,071,174 crore. This aligns with a 7.1% increase from the previous fiscal year, propelled by each division — from oil-to-chemical to digital services — registering remarkable growth.
