Zydus Wellness Ltd has faced a challenging first quarter for 2025, reporting a 13.4% drop in consolidated net profit amounting to Rs 127.9 crore, impacted by irregular seasonal weather conditions and heightened expenses.
In comparison, the company recorded a Rs 147.7 crore net profit during the same quarter last year. Despite a rise in total revenue from operations to Rs 860.9 crore, from Rs 841 crore in the previous year, the profit margin suffered.
The company noted that adverse weather impacted seasonal products, though brands like Glucon-D and Sugar Free showed robust gross margin gains. Total expenditure rose to Rs 718.6 crore, with increased advertisement spending contributing to the expenses.
