In a startling disclosure, Lenskart Solutions, a leading eyewear company, has publicized that its co-founder, Sumeet Kapahi, is unable to find copies of his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree and marksheets from the University of Delhi.
This information emerged in the company's recent draft red herring prospectus filed with SEBI as part of its upcoming IPO plans. Despite persistent efforts including emails, letters, and online applications, Kapahi has yet to receive a response from the university.
Lenskart's filing outlines concerns that the university may not respond timely, if at all, about the documents crucial to Kapahi, who is instrumental as the company's Global Head of Sourcing. The IPO aims to raise Rs 2,150 crore with additional shares being offered by promoters and investors.
