The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) signed initial agreements with NSE IFSC Ltd (NSE IX) and the Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA) on Wednesday to boost investor education and professional growth.
The MoU with NSE IX aims to foster cooperation, enhance investor awareness, and promote international investment and professional development in India's capital market. The partnership will also offer co-branded educational programs on topics such as global investing, derivatives, and financial innovation.
The agreement with IVCA focuses on establishing joint expert groups for alternative capital issues and aims to standardize financial reporting frameworks through industry consultations. ICAI President Charanjot Singh Nanda called these partnerships a significant step towards economic transformation through improved financial reporting, governance, and investor empowerment.
