The South Western Railway has announced the introduction of special express trains aimed at accommodating the anticipated spike in passenger traffic between Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal, Bengaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram North. These services are a response to the expected rush during the upcoming festive season.

According to an official statement released on Wednesday, the train services, numbered 06523/06524, will make six trips in each direction. Train No 06523 will depart from SMVT Bengaluru on Monday evenings, while the return service, Train No 06524, will travel on Tuesday afternoons, starting from August 11 to September 16.

Additionally, another set of trains, Nos 06547/06548, will offer three trips each way. The operating days are specified, including detailed timing and stops. Each train will run with 20 LHB coaches, ensuring ample capacity for travelers, as detailed by SWR.
