US Sanctions Shake Up Indian-Iranian Petrochemical Trade
The Trump administration imposes sanctions on six Indian companies for significant transactions involving Iranian petrochemical products. The US aims to cut funding for the Iranian regime's activities by targeting global petrochemical trades linked to Iran, blocking assets in the US and affecting business operations.

In a significant move against Iranian trade networks, the Trump administration has imposed sanctions on six Indian companies for their dealings in Iranian-origin petrochemical products.
The Department of State announced that 20 global entities involved in Iran's petroleum sector would face sanctions as part of efforts to diminish revenue supporting destabilizing activities by the Iranian regime, including terrorism.
Among the targeted companies are Kanchan Polymers, Alchemical Solutions, and Jupiter Dye Chem Private Limited, while assets linked to these firms in the US are blocked. Indian nationals also face sanctions tied to a broader network controlled by Mohammad Hossein Shamkhani.
