ATS Infrastructure, a key player in the Delhi-NCR real estate sector, has successfully repaid around Rs 190 crore to the government-backed SWAMIH fund. This significant repayment includes both the principal amount of Rs 133 crore and an additional Rs 57 crore in interest, marking a crucial step in revitalizing the stalled 'ATS Marigold' project located on the Dwarka Expressway in Gurugram.
The SWAMIH Investment Fund I intervention came in February 2021, during times of financial distress caused by the pandemic and previous economic challenges. Initially facing slow sales and a cash crunch, the project's completion became viable through the fund's support, allowing ATS to secure an occupation certificate for 422 residential units across six towers.
This successful repayment underscores the impact of the SWAMIH fund, which has proven essential for completing stalled projects nationwide. Following such successes, the government announced an additional Rs 15,000 crore fund to progress further developments, ensuring relief for many stuck homebuyers and revitalizing the real estate sector.
