Maruti Suzuki India experienced a marginal rise in consolidated net profit for the June quarter, with figures reaching Rs 3,792 crore. This was largely due to robust overseas shipments mitigating the decline in domestic sales.
The automaker's income for the quarter increased to Rs 40,493 crore, up from Rs 36,840 crore in the same period last year. On a standalone basis, net profit hit Rs 37,12 crore, marking a 2% increase year-on-year.
Despite a 4.5% drop in domestic sales, a notable 37.4% surge in exports bolstered the company's overall sales volume by 1.1% for the quarter. Maruti Suzuki sold 5,27,861 vehicles in the first quarter of this year, composed of 4,30,889 domestic units and 96,972 exports.
