A tragic bus accident occurred on Thursday morning in the Gohar area of Mandi district, resulting in the death of one woman and injuries to nine others. The bus, en route from Jehal to Chail Chowl, veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge after the driver lost control, according to police reports.

The victim, identified as 44-year-old Nirmala Devi from Noun village in Mandi, was pronounced dead at the scene. Local authorities quickly responded, rescuing the injured passengers and transferring four of them to Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College for advanced medical treatment.

Superintendent of Police, Mandi, Sakshi Verma, confirmed that a case has been registered, and comprehensive measures are in place to assist the victims and their families during this difficult time. The cause of the driver losing control remains under investigation.
