The Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM) has strongly criticized the United States for what it describes as coercive tactics aimed at gaining access to Indian markets in sensitive sectors.
The organization has urged the Indian government to remain steadfast in protecting national interest, emphasizing that recent moves by Washington, including a 25 percent tariff imposed by President Donald Trump, could destabilize the US's own economy while India focuses on long-term self-reliance.
SJM co-convenor Ashwani Mahajan highlighted the need for India to fortify its strategic autonomy and resist external pressures, advocating for diversified trade partnerships beyond traditional allies.
