Odisha to Launch Global FinTech Innovation Hub with Singapore Partnership

The Government of Odisha has announced a strategic partnership with the Singapore-based Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) to establish the Integrated Global Financial Technology Capability Hub (I-GFTCH) in Bhubaneswar. Scheduled to be inaugurated on August 21, 2025, the hub seeks to elevate Odisha as a prominent global center for financial technology innovation.
The I-GFTCH aims to synergize global education, technological innovation, and industry collaboration within the realms of FinTech and InsurTech, positioning Bhubaneswar as a critical player in India's burgeoning digital economy. This initiative aligns with the national economic agenda, supported by governmental bodies and educational institutions, highlighting the transformative potential of digital skills education.
Key programmes include the National University of Singapore's course, offering a blend of online and in-person learning experiences, poised to benefit over 7,000 students in Odisha. Additionally, the partnership will bring the prestigious Black Swan Summit to India in the first quarter of 2026, facilitating high-level discussions on frontier tech.
