India's Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are gearing up for a wave of talent acquisition in 2025, with a majority of HR leaders anticipating robust hiring across various sectors, as revealed by a recent report.
The study by Taggd, in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and JLL India, indicates that the hiring sentiment remains optimistic for FY26, with 48% of GCCs planning to expand their workforce, while 19% expect to maintain the hiring levels observed in FY24.
Insights from over 100 GCCs across sectors highlight a strategic focus on early-career lateral talent with 1-5 years of experience, balancing cost, capability, and adaptability. Additionally, the report notes a significant shift in the average tenure expectations of Gen Z professionals, who show a preference for changing roles within 18-24 months due to limited career advancement opportunities.
