Train Derailment Chaos: Islamabad Express Disaster Near Lahore

In a tragic incident near Lahore, at least 30 passengers suffered injuries when several coaches of the Islamabad Express derailed en route to Rawalpindi. The accident occurred at Kala Shah Kaku, Sheikhupura, approximately 50 km from Lahore, on Friday evening.
The derailment involved 10 coaches, with reports indicating that three passengers are in critical condition. Rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene, transferring the injured to a nearby hospital. Efforts continue to extract passengers still trapped within the derailed coaches.
Railways Minister Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has ordered a thorough investigation into the derailment, instructing officials to visit the site and submit a report within seven days. Despite the severity of the incident, no casualties have been reported so far.
