In a major step towards agricultural welfare, the Andhra Pradesh government under Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has initiated the Annadatha Sukhibhava scheme. This program aims to provide financial aid of Rs 20,000 annually to farmers, a blend of state and central assistance.
During the launch of this Rs 3,174 crore statewide initiative, Naidu personally delivered cheques to select farmers, symbolizing the larger deposit to 47 lakh farmers. This move aligns with his 'Super Six' election pledges, promising substantial financial support to various societal segments.
Simultaneously, Naidu highlighted his broader vision for state development, emphasizing plans for major infrastructure projects, including river interlinking to alleviate water scarcity. His administration also plans to confront external economic challenges, such as increased US tariffs affecting local farmers.
