In the past six to seven quarters, hiring within the IT services sector has shown little momentum, with the second quarter also expected to see no substantial demand increase, according to Quess Corp's ED and CEO Guruprasad Srinivasan.

Srinivasan revealed that demand for tech talent is now prominently driven by global capability centres (GCCs) and non-IT firms. Despite muted demand within IT services, Quess Corp has not been impacted due to its diversified focus.

The company noted a high demand for AI, cloud, and cybersecurity skills with staffing wages averaging Rs 1.25 lakhs, contributing to high margins. Quess Corp's professional staffing segment showed robust growth, boosting profits. In contrast, the digital platform business saw revenue declines.
