Over 1.30 lakh farmers in Mizoram were granted financial assistance totaling more than Rs 38 crore under the 20th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi released Rs 20,500 crore to nearly 9.7 crore farmers across the nation via Direct Benefit Transfer from Varanasi, as stated by officials.
Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Lalthansanga thanked the central government for their unyielding support. He advised beneficiaries to optimally use the resources and announced the opening of online applications for the state's Handholding scheme phase-2.
