In a bid to prepare for the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela, Railway Board chairman Satish Kumar conducted an inspection of five key stations in Nashik district over the weekend.
According to a statement released on Monday by Central Railway, Kumar's inspection tour included Nashik Road, Devlali, Odha, Kherwadi, and Kasbe Sukene stations. The focal points were cleanliness, passenger amenities, and overall infrastructural readiness as the district gears up for the massive event.
Following the station visits, Kumar headed a high-level meeting with Maharashtra government officials to discuss strategies for crowd management, transport integration, and timely infrastructure development. This meeting stressed the importance of inter-agency cooperation to ensure a smooth experience for the anticipated influx of pilgrims.
