Led by IIMA Ventures, the investment will boost content development and marketing efforts, expanding its user base with a focus on Industry Ready® learning for India’s next generation of engineers.

Protrainy, an innovative ed-tech platform aimed at bridging the skills gap in India's engineering sector, has announced the successful closure of a seed funding round. This investment, spearheaded by IIMA Ventures, will propel the platform's efforts in enhancing content development and bolstering marketing strategies to attract a wider user base.
The platform was founded by Biswajit Shaw, who brings firsthand industry experience from his tenure at JSW. Co-founder Bishal Shaw further helped mold Protrainy into a structured learning hub, addressing the disconnect between conventional education and industry needs. With the fresh capital, Protrainy plans to expand its core team to meet the surging demand for its programs.
Protrainy offers a diverse mix of cohort-based learning, on-demand video courses, and applied project modules, attracting over 20,000 learners who have completed programs, and drawing a community of more than 100,000 users for its Industry Ready® training. With notable partnerships with institutions like IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee, Protrainy is poised to deliver accredited upskilling opportunities tailored to both students and professionals.
