At a press briefing in Jaipur, Zupee announced significant updates to the traditional game of Ludo, aiming to bolster its skill-based aspects. The gaming platform's modifications are designed to infuse a faster, fairer, and more engaging experience, fundamentally altering how the game is played.

Govind Mittal, Chief Spokesperson at Zupee, revealed the innovative rule tweaks, stating, "We adjusted the game's rules to escalate the skill level required for Ludo. In India, skill-based games are legally acceptable, while games of chance fall under gambling regulations." Mittal introduced changes such as a shortened gameplay duration, a point-based score system assessed by blocks moved, and a strategic 'skip' turn feature.

The alterations decrease the element of chance, compelling players toward strategic planning and action. Ravi Shankar Jha, Director of Public Policy, highlighted their commitment to fairness and transparency, ensuring all competitors face real human opponents, not bots. Zupee's dedication extends to dialogues with policymakers, advocating for legal frameworks to protect users' interests.
