India's electronics exports have witnessed a remarkable surge, climbing over 47% year-on-year to USD 12.4 billion in the first quarter of fiscal year 2025-26. According to the India Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA), this impressive growth is primarily driven by the mobile phone segment's robust performance.
During the first quarter of FY26 alone, mobile phone exports soared to USD 7.6 billion, marking a significant 55% increase from the previous year's USD 4.9 billion. Non-mobile electronics exports also showed a commendable 37% growth, reaching USD 4.8 billion, up from USD 3.53 billion a year earlier.
With key products like solar modules and networking equipment gaining traction, the ICEA projects total electronics exports to land between USD 46 billion and USD 50 billion by the fiscal year's end. The focus now shifts to enhancing global competitiveness and deepening value addition in the Indian electronics sector.
