Supreme Court's Verdict Boosts Reliance Infrastructure's Recovery Strategy

Reliance Infrastructure received a major financial boost from the Supreme Court, as its subsidiaries BSES Yamuna Power Ltd and BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd are set to recover Rs 21,413 crore in power dues over the next four years.

The decision follows a legal battle where Reliance's subsidiaries contested the non-reflective tariff systems and the accumulation of regulatory assets without liquidation.

The apex court's directive ensures the recovery of these assets, amounting to Rs 27,200.37 crore across three of Delhi's discoms, while emphasizing the need for stringent audits by Electricity Regulatory Commissions.
