Apollo Tyres Accelerates Innovation with New Testing Facility in Finland

Apollo Tyres is making strides in innovation with the setup of a new outdoor tyre testing facility in Ivalo, Finland. Scheduled for completion by December 2025, this facility will play a crucial role in evaluating winter and all-season tyres, adding momentum to the company's product development objectives.

The project, undertaken in partnership with UTAC, a leading automotive testing and certification organization, features test tracks engineered specifically for real-world conditions. Apollo Tyres CTO Daniele Lorenzetti described the initiative as a strategic investment in enhancing autonomy and efficiency.

Located at UTAC's proving grounds, the facility aims to remove testing bottlenecks, reduce costs, and grant Apollo Tyres full control over test schedules. This will enable the Apollo and Vredestein brands to fine-tune products effectively, particularly during the critical winter months.
