A tragic train derailment occurred in Pakistan's Punjab province on Sunday, leading to the death of one passenger and injuries to several others. The incident happened near Lodhran railway station, as reported by Geo News.

The passenger train, traveling from Peshawar to Karachi, saw four of its carriages derailed, prompting immediate rescue efforts. At least 19 injured passengers were taken to the hospital, where one succumbed to his injuries. Two other passengers remain in critical condition, according to Lodhran Deputy Commissioner Dr. Lubna Nazir.

Although the exact cause of the derailment is currently unknown, train services have resumed, bringing renewed attention to rail safety in the region after previous derailments in Raiwind and Lahore earlier this month.
