A state-level workshop aimed at improving the efficiency and transparency of foodgrain procurement in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir was held on Tuesday. The Department of Food and Public Distribution organized the event, with Haryana Chief Secretary inaugurating the session.

FCI CMD Ashutosh Agnihotri emphasized the potential for advancement in the procurement sector through collaboration between state and national governments. The workshop drew 85 officials, highlighting the importance of digital reform.

The initiative is part of a broader series of workshops planned for 18 major foodgrain procuring states. Previously, similar events were held in Chennai and Raipur, with the third workshop taking place in Chandigarh on August 18.
