The Life Sciences sector in Telangana is observing a period of significant growth under the stewardship of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Minister D Sridhar Babu revealed that investments amounting to Rs 54,000 crore have been secured since December 2023, thanks to the state's proactive policies and thriving ecosystem.

Hyderabad, the capital, has propelled into the ranks of the world's top seven life sciences clusters, becoming India's only city to hold this accolade. With a strategic vision, Telangana is poised to unveil its Next-Gen Life Sciences Policy, designed to lure extensive investments and drive further advancements in the industry.

Setting high aspirations, the state targets scaling its Life Sciences economy to USD 250 billion by 2030, with ambitions of transforming into the 'Life Sciences Capital of Asia.' Minister Babu also suggested a feasibility study for a potential Telangana School of Life Sciences, as industry leaders including Dr Satish Reddy and Sanjay Kumar discussed the pathway ahead during a recent board meeting.
