A sad accident claimed the lives of a 50-year-old woman and her pregnant daughter in Nashik. The two were hit by a speeding truck while crossing the road near Muktidham temple, police confirmed on Wednesday.
The mother, Sunita Waghmare, died instantly, while her daughter, Sheetal Kedare, succumbed to her injuries the following morning. The truck also crashed into a car and two auto-rickshaws before the collision.
Authorities have arrested the truck driver and registered a case. Kedare was visiting her parents' home for her delivery when the tragic incident occurred.
