TVS Motor Expands Electric Revolution with New Cargo Three-Wheeler

In a move set to bolster its electric vehicle lineup, TVS Motor Company unveiled the King Kargo HD, an innovative three-wheeler designed for the cargo segment. The launch marks the latest expansion of TVS's commercial electric vehicle range, with the model priced at Rs 3.85 lakh and boasting a driving range of 156 km.
Rajat Gupta, Head of Commercial Mobility Business at TVS, shared insights into the growing acceptance of electric models, predicting that by 2030, EVs could constitute up to 60% of the three-wheeler market. Last year, electric models accounted for 31% of the 60,000-unit market.
Targeting specific Indian regions, TVS plans to initially introduce the King Kargo HD to Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. The company is also exploring international markets, despite their current small scale, with pilot projects underway. Talks with B2B players for leasing partnerships are ongoing.
