Mumbai, India: The Ministry of Textiles has announced the reopening of its portal for fresh applications under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles. The initiative focuses on sectors like Man-Made Fibre (MMF) Apparels, Fabrics, and Technical Textiles, and aims to stimulate large-scale investments.

Eligible companies will be incentivized based on incremental turnover resulting from new investments and expanded production capabilities. Shri Shaleen Toshniwal, Chairman of the Manmade Fibre & Technical Textiles Export Promotion Council (MATEXIL), applauded the move. He stated that the reopening of the application window allows more textile companies to vie for growth and enhanced global competitiveness.

Toshniwal also urged manufacturers to utilize the scheme to modernize and expand their offerings, highlighting the scheme's potential impact on boosting India's role in international textile trade and contributing to the country's vision for Viksit Bharat @2047. MATEXIL promises to support exporters with guidance throughout the application process in collaboration with the Ministry of Textiles.
