Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has urged India's plantation sectors, including tea, coffee, and rubber, to fully capitalize on free trade agreements (FTAs) to enhance their export potential, as per an official statement released Friday.

Emphasizing the importance of market diversification, Goyal encouraged these sectors to focus on promoting value-added products and upholding quality standards. He highlighted the significance of utilizing the benefits provided under various FTAs effectively.

The minister emphasized the need for plantation boards to promote Geographical Indication (GI) products incorporating 'India' into their branding. He also proposed establishing a common incubation center to foster innovation in the sector.
