Domestic airline IndiGo announced its upcoming introduction of direct flights to Copenhagen from Mumbai, set to commence on October 8. This move will further broaden IndiGo's international network, extending into Northern Europe.

The carrier will operate these flights three times a week utilizing Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, leased from Norse Atlantic Airways. Copenhagen emerges as the 44th international destination in IndiGo's itinerary and its 138th destination overall.

According to CEO Pieter Elbers, the new service comes in response to rising demand for travel between India and Northern Europe. It signifies IndiGo's first venture into the Scandinavian market, enhancing its footprint in Europe and offering a strategic travel corridor for Indian tourists. The direct connection promises to facilitate stronger ties in trade, education, and tourism between India and the Nordics.
