With this expansion, SpiceJet plans to increase its fleet to a total of 18 new aircraft, demonstrating robust commitment to enhancing its service offerings. As of mid-September, SpiceJet was operating 19 aircraft out of a total fleet of 53, according to data from Planespotter.com.
Despite gearing up for fleet growth, the airline faced financial challenges, reporting a net loss of Rs 238 crore for the quarter ending June 2025.
