Kerala's maritime economy received a significant boost as investment proposals worth Rs 7,288 crore were garnered during the 'Blue Tides' conclave held in Kovalam and organized in partnership with the European Union.
According to Fisheries Minister Saji Cherian, 28 investors showed interest in Kerala, marking a substantial push for the state's fisheries sector. European Union delegates encouraged ongoing cooperation between Kerala and EU states to further support innovative and sustainable maritime growth.
European Union Ambassador to India, Herve Delphin, advocates for creating a platform for sustained interaction. The conclave addressed topics such as sustainability, technology, and global cooperation, indicating promising collaborations in healthcare and IT sectors.
