Cyberattack Grounds Major European Airports: Chaos at Check-In
A cyberattack on Collins Aerospace's systems has crippled check-in and boarding processes at major European airports, including Heathrow. The disruption has led to delays and cancellations, with manual operations being employed temporarily. Efforts are underway to resolve the issue, as passengers face potential travel headaches.

Heathrow, Europe's busiest airport, experienced significant disruptions after a cyberattack targeted Collins Aerospace's check-in and boarding systems. This technical snafu has led to flight delays and cancellations, affecting several major airports across the continent.
Brussels and Berlin airports reported similar disturbances, with RTX, Collins Aerospace's parent company, acknowledging a cyber-related issue impacting their software. The attack forced a switch to manual check-ins, heightening wait times and travel uncertainty.
Although Frankfurt and Zurich airports remain unaffected, passengers flying from other locations were urged to verify flight details before departure. Meanwhile, airlines like EasyJet continued normal operations, while others remained silent amid potential chaos.
